Celebrating Denise's Legacy
A number of individuals have expressed an interest in coming together to create a lasting legacy on campus in memory of Denise Smith. Based on Denise’s love for gardens, flowers and the outdoors, we are coming together to name one of the “garden plots” on the Mall in her memory.
The amount needed for the naming of this space is $5,000. Any funds donated to the garden plot fund above and beyond the $5,000 needed to name the space on campus will be transferred to the Jones-Nolin-Smith-Boyer Scholarship. This is a scholarship Denise created at Truman to honor her family.
If you wish to participate in this effort, you can make a gift online by following the instructions below.

Share a Story or Memory
Denise loved family, friends, Truman and making a positive impact in the world. There are so many wonderful memories the Bulldog Community has with Denise and we would love for you to share them. The Office of Advancement is creating a photo and memory book of Denise Smith to share with her family, but we need your help filling the book with memories and stories showing the impact Denise had in the lives of many.
